
Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sliders
Grilled pineapple slices brushed with a soy and ginger marinade add a Hawaiian-inspired twist to these irresistible sandwiches! Juicy ham, melted Swiss cheese, and melted butter are impossible to resist! FAST, EASY, perfect as a game day or party appetizer, snack, or quick weeknight dinner!
What you need

lb ham

tsp light-brown sugar

tbsp soy sauce

tsp fresh ginger

tsp garlic

fresh pineapple

slice swiss cheese

tbsp unsalted butter

tsp dried parsley
Instructions
-1 Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9x13 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. -1 Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in the pan. -1 Evenly distribute and lay the ham over the bottom of the rolls; set aside. -1 Optionally, heat a grill pan or cast iron pan over medium high heat.*** (See Notes) -1 To a small bowl, add the 2 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. -1 Brush the marinade over the pineapple slices and optionally place them in the hot pan. Or simply add them over the top of the ham on the rolls. Reserve the remaining marinade. -1 Grill the pineapple for approximately 1 minute per side, or until it has grill marks. -1 Cut the rings in half, or as needed, and lay them over the ham. -1 Evenly distribute and layer the cheese over the pineapple. -1 Place the remaining half of the of the top rolls over the pineapple. -1 Add the melted butter and parsley to the reserved marinade. -1 Brush this buttery marinade mixture over the tops of the rolls. -1 Tent a piece of aluminum foil over the rolls and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted. -1 Remove the foil and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until lightly golden browned. Keep an eye on them. Serve the sliders immediately warm and fresh. Extra sliders will keep airtight in the fridge for up to 5 days, reheat gently in a toaster oven or microwave.View original recipe
