Cranberry Orange Energy Bites
These bites are the perfect little snack if you’re looking for energy before or after a workout, or just need a mid-day boost. They’re fast, easy, no-bake, bursting with flavor, and oranges and cranberries pair so well together. The bites are jam-packed with texture from the oats, chia seeds, and dried fruit. All those textures keep you chewing for awhile so it’s less tempting to mindlessly pop them down, one after the next. Although even if you did, the batch makes ten bites.
What you need

½ cup old fashioned rolled oats

½ cup dried cranberries
¼ cup raw honey

1 tbsp chia seed

1 tsp orange extract

¼ tsp salt
Instructions
-1 Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl and stir to combine. Mixture should come together and neither be overly sticky nor overly dry. Add more almond butter or honey if your mixture is too dry; add more oats if it’s too wet. -1 Using a 2-tablespoon scoop or your hands, form approximately 10 bites, making sure to really squeeze and compact the mixture so the bites stay intact. Serve immediately. Bites will keep airtight for many weeks at room temp. I’m comfortable storing them at room temp but if you’re not, store them in the fridge, noting they could dry out a bit in the fridge.View original recipe
